The work, commissioned by the University City Arts and Letters commission, advertises neither products nor politicians, but randomly selected people from the local community. The portraits are set against a white background, so the faces glow unencumbered by text, product-placement, or self-evident messages; the power they gain is purely visual. Louis graced Face Value for three weeks.
